Haunted Design House Entry

I have admired Haunted Design House from afar but this week I could not resist the Macabre Monday Challenge. This week is pink on the brink and I just love pink so I thought this was a perfect time for my first entry to their challenges. I made an easel card so that is my second first of today, the easel itself is black cardstock. The front is a piece of hot pink card which I have distressed around the edges with black ink and I have layered onto this a DCWV download from the madly in Love stack, again I have inked this with black ink. The image is from the greeting farm who I have just recemtly fallen in love with and she is called creepy cupcake!!! I have coloured her in with promarkers and added spots with a sakura souffle pen and added some topping to the cupcakes with 3D paint. The flowers have been cut out with my scallop nesties and sprayed with water and totally abused until they looked like flowers then I let them dry. In the top left hand corner is a tiny blue flower that I made using ribbon and topped with a gem and hidining behind that is a feather ( loving feathers at the moment ) The whole topper is finished off with some ribbon.

Wedding Invitation Samples

I seem to be getting more and more request for wedding invitations which is fab as I just love to make them! I pretend its my wedding, I swear my next wedding will be amazing ( my first was wonderful ) but I can do soooo much better no than I could then!!! Might have to divorce Konrad just to get married to him again! Yes he is soooo great I would marry him twice!! Anyway back to the samples!!! I have been asked to make invites for winter wedding and the lady wanted sparkles and feathers I put together a few samples and this is my fav ( this isn't the actual one she has picked ) but this is my fav and going into my range!!! A simple square card with a very wide bit of white lace, I printed out the wedding invitation message and layered it onto some silver sparkle card and placed that onto the centre of the lace and added some gems for good measure. Next I cut 2 hearts using my big shot ( on sale at Hobbycraft ) and layered them with 3D foam. I then wanted to add some beading and hearts but I didn't want to buy a spray so I made one ( 1st attempt so not too bad ) this was then wrapped around the feather and stuck between tohe 2 hearts.

The next picture is the evening invitation which is C6 in size and is like a postcard with the info printed out and backed onto some dark silver sparkle card and some added ribbon bows and gems. You will have to excuse my rubbish editing skills - I didn't want to put the lady's phone number up so I just took it out whilst resizing the picture, it will do!!!

Crazy Cakes

I love this digi stamp from the greetings farm, and this is my first card with her!!!

Betty Boop Card Order

Phew!!! This card has taken me a while to put together! It is a special for a friend of mine for his new wife! Originally he wanted a Jessica Rabbit card but I had no luck with finding a cut for that so Betty Boop was his next choice! I knew exactly where I could get a Betty Boop from so I ran straight to Mardenz and downloaded the SVG there. This card is A4 in size, thank god for the Kanban A4 card blanks at Hobbycraft as i didn't fancy buying A3 card!!! I cut Betty Boop using my cricut, I added some stickles to her lips and high heels for some glitz! The background paper is DCWV ( dont ask what stack ) The font is similar to the hello kitty font but it is actually antsy pants cut via scal with the cricut, the font on the inside of the card is from my very newly aquired Mickey Font cart ( on sale at Hobbycraft - click Mickey to take you there ) I added some bees as instructed, I used vellum for the wings and when you open the card they pop up!!! This was my first attempt with an SVG file, and it was very easy to use, had to trim a bit here and there but all in all I was super impressed, I would not have known where to start creating my own file so huge thank yous to Mardenz x x x

Polka Doodles Week 32!!!

Well it is finally here!!! It is my turn to set the challenge over at Polka Doodles!!! I picked a date so far in advance as I was so worried about setting a challenge! It caught up with me eventually and here it is. . . I asked the ladies to print or stamp onto vellum or acetate! It was a good idea at the time but the challenge was just that a bloody challenge!!! My printer had a huge argument with the acetate I picked so that killed that plan so I printed onto pearlescent vellum which turned out pretty good!!! I used the Jingle Jangle CD which I just adore!!! Vellum was such a bad idea as all the hard work is not really reflected as it is so hard to photograph!!! Next time I say the V word people you stop me!!! Hop over to polka doodles and see how easy the fab designers have made it look!!!

Wedding Invitation Sample

I have been asked to put together some samples for wedding invitaions and the first one I made was a success!!! Though I would share it woth you all!!! It is a super simple 6 x 6 hammer texture card with a damask pattern paper down the one side and the topper has the name of the couple and the date of the wedding ( not sure if its the actual date I made that bit up ) added a few little gems and we're done!!!

Charm Bracelets

I have been so busy posting my creations onto the Stacey's World facebook page that I completly forgot my poor little blog!!! I am so naughty at times!!! I have been bust trying to build up some stock so I can get my ass to some craft fairs but I am a slow crafter and for the most part very very unorganised!!! Anyway I have managed to create 2 new charm bracelets using some of my fimo cupcakes and little fimo blobs with eyes and a selection of random charms and beads that i have collected!!! The green one I cannot part with so that has become mine ( again not helpful when trying to build stock!!!
