One of my fav cricut cuts is the scallop card from Wild Card. I use it quite a bit!!! Here I have used a spring green gingham glitter card to make my nuts about you valentines day card!!! The squirrel is from Create a Critter, my second fav cart I think as everything on there is just so bloody cute!!! I have cut him out and given him lots or shading with a brown ink pad, then I have adorned the left hand side of the card with some paper flowers, a rosette made using the Tim Holtz die and some butterflies!!! The card is a similar design to my mother's day cards from last year!!!

I have been out of the craft room and into the kitchen over the past few days. I have been trying a few new things. I wanted to try to improve my cupcake decorating a bit beyond slapping buttercream on top. my first decorating venture was to make a cupcake that looked like a flower, now I had some help from Youtube, I found a fab tutorial!!! The coloured sugar I made myself as I am having trouble driving at the moment as my baby bump isn't fitting behind the wheel lol!!! Also I have tried quite a few times to make french macarons and failed totally, however today was my day, I got a new recipe and I was determined not to be beaten by these tiny french treats. My determination worked and here are just a few of them. I filled some with a homemade coconut and chocolate ganche, some are filled with whipped cream and most are filled with the new Cadburys Philadelphia spread and whipped cream!!! They have turned out to be delicious but I have found you cannot just eat one!!! The pics have been taken with hubby's phone as it is too dark not to get a good shot so he made them look funky with an app on his phone x

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Well it's a new year and I have alot to look forward to this year!!! I am just over 6 weeks away from having a baby boy which my husband and I are super excited about. We have decorated his little room and we are all stocked up on baby essential, not going to go as far as to say we are prepared as I am pretty sure we are in for a huge shock but it's one we cannot wait for!!! I seem to be rather lacking in the nesting dept however, so thought I would take this opportunity not only to join in on WOYWW but also to show you all the shamefull state that my craft room has gotten into!!! Back last year we moved my craft romm to the middle sized room in the hope that more space wouls mean more organisation. . . all it really menat was that I had more room to buy more things!!! Then we got pregnant and crafting fell to the bottom of my to do list. I think that if I dont get it sorted this week then the chances are we will have to seal it shut and stick a biohazard sticker on the door!!! So the aim is to be back here by next wednesday with a nice tidy craft desk and room for that matter!!! Here are the awful pics in question. . . WISH ME LUCK!!!

I found these awesome plastic teeth a while ago and I have been wondering what I could use them for. I totally forgot I had them until I was looking for something to finish off a card. I decided that I could use them to make super cute keyrings and team them with some of my fimo sweets. I have called them Sweet Toof, was toying with calling them Toof decay but they are too cute to be bad for you!!!

Feeling Festive

Without question Christmas is my favourite time of the year!!! I cannot wait until next year when I will have my first Christmas as a Mum!!!!!! But this Christmas will still be pretty cool. For the last 5 years I have done the big family thing which is always nice but this year I want to do Christmas my way so I am hosting it at my house and we are having my brother and his girlfriend and our best friends so I am super excited! To get me in the festive mood I have made a pretty good start on my christmas cards so here are my 8 x 8 cards to start with . . .

The swirl tree is one of my fav cricut xmas cuts, it is just so stunning it really needs very little adding to it and the snowflakes well whats to say I love snowflakes!!!

Where Have I been???

Well it has been a busy busy few months for me and as a result my poor blog has suffered terribly!!! I found out a few months back that I am pregnant, after a few years of trying my husband and I were over the moon!!! For the first few weeks I couldn't even think about crafting as all that was whizzing 'round my head was babies babies babies!!!! Then when I finally rejoined planet earth the dreaded morning sickness beckoned, I was so ill that I had to be admitted to hospital to be rehydrated! All that is over and done with now and me and baby are getting along much better!!! I found out last week that we are having a baby boy, and he has recently started whizzing around and kicking like mad, and each kick just feels amazing!!! Wea re going to call him Hunter Nicholas Halabuda and i am pretty sure he is going to be a swimmer going by how much he loves to swim around at the moment lol!!!

Here is a pic of Hunter's foot from the scan we had last week, and the other pic is from the scan I had when I was in hospital, it was earlier than normal so he is tiny x

Have a Kraken Birthday

The greeting was discovered by a friend of mine on facebook after many clues!!! Now I was not going to give away many clues but due to his constant awful guesses I had to help!!! He did not get the card however it was given to another facebooker!!! Next time I will ban him for participation lol !!! There will be another competition shortly and it will run a bit longer!!!

The card is made using the create a critter cart which I just love. I cut Captain Tentacle out and embossed him and plonked him onto some Karen Foster pirate paper!! Add some stitching and some distressing along with a computer generated greeting an we are done!!! It is now available on my shop www.staceysworld.co.uk

Well I have finally launched my online shop!!!! My wonderful husband has worked very hard to get it just the way I want it!!! All I need to do now is fill it!!! I have a few bits on there so far but it's got a way to go!!! But I am most excited about my very first digital stamp!!! Her name is Buttons!!! She is on the cute side of macabre shall we say!!! I love love love her and connot wait to get creating with her!!! She is the first in a long line of images to come from Stacey's World but here she is. . .

I was in work the other day when I received an email from Steadtler Hong Kong!!! I was super surprised to learn that they wanted to use some of my pictures on their official Steadtler Hong Kong facebook page!!! They have used 3 of my projects. . . a cupcake bracelet, a pair of cookie earrings and my Twilight inspired apple necklace!!! Just though I would pop a link here for all to see x x x

Mother's Day!!!

I have been a busy bee trying to get ahead of myself for Mother's Day! I need a few cards for personal use ( I always send my dad a mother's day card as he looked after me and my brother when my mum left ) and a few others but I also try to sell a few card here and there to fund my habit!!! I have made a few with the same sort of concept in mind, this helped me to get quite a few cranked out in one go! The cards are just a bit bigger than C6 and are both black bases. The one card has a silver mirror card layer with a bazzill card layer which is matt and gloss stripes! Onto the bazzill card I have stitched a lace border and I have stitched a ruffle ribbon border which I have fallen in love with thanks to a video over at my pink stamper!!! I have added a handmade fimo rose and some gems for a bit on bling! To fonish off the fron of the card I have used Don Juan amd cut the word MUM, I have given it a pink shadow and 2 black layers for lots of dimension then added 2 more gems for effect!

The second card has a piece of card from my minds eye stiched onto a piece of plain white card this has been attached to the black card base! I have used my new favourite stitching technique ruffle ribbon along with another lace border! I have finished this section of the card with some paper flowers and attached them with a brad from american crafts to a card flower that i have cut with the big shot!!! Again this card had the gems and the MUM layered wording. the inside of both cards consists of a pattern card with a white layer stitched onto it!

Although I have ended up with some similar cards ( only 2 pics here but I have more ) I am pretty pleased with them. i think that I might use this method more often as I find that I am quite unproductive at times!!! Too busy thinking about the next card before I finish what I am working on!!! Naughty stacey x x x

Creating Critters and Paisley Elephants!!!!

I have been let loose with the pink card!!! I Got to make some valentines cards this week and here are my efforts... The love bug is from create a critter and the elephant is from the paisley cart!!! Both cards are A5 in size! the embossing folder is papermania and the pattern paper is a DCWV download!!!!

Too Cute!!!

I am in love with the deer elements of the Cindy Loo cart!!!! It is just perfect for all things baby!!! I have made a small card, it is A6 which is not a size I would normally use, I tend to make A5 cards but decided I needed a change! It turns out it took me just as long to make this smaller card as it would a bigger one ( maybe too much faffing around with the pinks for the deer )

I started with a pink piece of core colour card and inked the edges with brown ink, I used K & Co wedding paper for the pink stripes which I also inked. I then attached them together with double sided tape and my mini sewing machine! I mounted this onto a brown card blank. I added some lace border ribbon and some making memories flower ribbon which i got from Hobbycraft along with the paper flowers which are from the same embellishment pack as the ribbon. The blue gem brads are american crafts which are also from Hobbycraft ( had a bit of a spree ) The wording which reads too cute is a we are memory keepers rub on set which I have topper with flock, it is very faint but still super cute!!! The final element to the front is the deer from Cindy Loo which I cut in shades of pink!

The inside is desgined to match the front with one exception, the stitches are fake as the glue from my double sided tape has clogged up my needle so I couldn't re thread it ( rookie mistake ) going to clean it in a bit and never make the same mistake again OOPS!!! To finish off the inside I have used an american crafts badge embellishment which yep you guessed it, is from Hobbycraft!!!

New Fimo Dolls

I have been at it again with the fimo and here are my latest creations! They are without names at the moment as nothing seems to fit with them!!! With previous dolls I have had trouble with the hair, I fould it snapped real easy if you were not super careful with them, I fixed this with adding a solid base behind the hair but I didn't like to finish too much, so I went away did some playing and came up with these super thick curls. I think they look awesome, chunky and very robust ( hopefully )

10 Year Anniversary

On the 17th of January me and my hubby Konrad had been together for 10 years ( married for 4 ) He is wonderful and gave me the most awesome surprise on our anniversary. . . I got home form work very very tired and hungry and he has food waitiong for me and just asked if i could get some drink ready, I went into the cupboard for some glasses and waiting there was a handmade card. Now my husband is not a crafter at all, he glazes over whenever I start talking to him about papers or embellishments and he has never so much as touched my cricut, so imagine my amazement when he produces this card. He has done a wonderful job and i think a future in cardmaking is not out of the question!!!! Now I must admit he used a skull that I have already made ( dunno where he found it though ) I just adore this card! he has used Don Juan for the numbers and Happy Haunting for the frame and font and the skull was made using Indie Art and some QVC stamps for the swirls. He even put glitter on the 10 for sparkle!!! He is such a sweet man and I love him more than anything ( even my cricut x x x )

Fimo Fun!

I have been upto my eyes in fimo lately! I love it as it is something I can do whilst watching TV with my hubby! I tried making cards in the living room before and it was a nightmare. . . I kept forgetting things I needed so was up and downstairs all the time, I made a huge mess which annoyed Kon oh it was awful. There are times when I do want to make things but also want to spend a bit of time with Kon so fimo is perfect for that. I have added some new characters to my Lil Schitz collection, now I do not have names for them so any suggestions would be awesome! Here they are. . .

I think they are super cute and I have given them some sweetcorn!!! I think they will make fab keyrings or phone charms!!!!

Christmas is Kicking My Ass!!!

I love Christmas and everything about it, but this year seems to be as the title of the post would suggest kicking my ass!!!! I have started my cards too late so now not everyone is gonna have one, I didn't make enough to sell and ended up having to turn away business, I haven't finished my christmas shopping and they pressies I have bought are not wrapped!!! Phew!!! I blame a last minute wedding order I took on, I enjoyed doing it but it was a lot of work in a short space of time hence the complete lack or organisation in every other part of my life!!! I have managed to get a few pics of some cards that I have made so here they are!!!

Well it has finally happened. . . I have destroyed my very first cutting plates for my big shot!!! I have had my big shot for about 4 years maybe 5 and about 5 minutes ago I had my first fatality!!! It was my fault too as I was trying to get my machine to do something I am sure it is not supposed to do, but if I don't experiment how will I ever learn!!! I have more plates so the crafting will not stop but it is a sad time for all concerned as we say goodbye to a well loved friend!!!

Another Easel Card

I am desperatly trying to build up some stock so I can do some craft fairs over the next few months, but it is proving a challenge with all the other stuff I have to do! Still I do love being so bust with crafty things so not complaint!! Anyway here is another easel card. I am using the Kenny K image again I just love her and I have left a space at the bottom of the card so that a name or a greeting can be added !!!
