Twilight Bookmark

I have been at it again with my Twilight addiction! I have made some new bookmarks! I have the fimo apple dangler that I have added! It hangs down the spine of the book so even when it is just on the shelf my book looks fab!!! The wording is printed using the Twilight font and I have simply layered pattern paper and plain card with some stamped swirls and inked edges and we are done!!!

Polka Doodles Favours

I have been making some wedding stationary samples over the last few weeks and now I am onto the favours! I thought that the papers from the Love & Cherish Polka Doodles CD would be fab!!! This is one of the first samples I have come up with, I do think it will need to be bigger but for a sample it will be fine! I have printed out on of the many fab designs from this CD and I have cut the page into quarters. Then I have just made a sour cream container and added a little gold tag which I have cut with the big shot and embossed with an initial!

Polka Doodles Week 11

This week over at Polka Doodles Nikky has set the challenge and if she doesn't mind me saying a challenge is exactly what it was!!! It started out with this sketch . . .

Then we were given some rules. . . We had to use 4 shapes and they should interlock or be matted and layered and we could only use brown and blue!!! So I sat down with cold sweats ( partly due to the challenge and partly to do with the flu ) and this is what I have created! Now the papers I just love especially the background roses form the Love and Cherish CD. Now it may look more on the grey side than the blue but I am claiming its blue and thats the end of it!!! The base of the card is A4 folded plain brown cardstock, I have added to this a plain piece of blue card then added the blue ( not Grey ) roses paper! The flowers are from the Love and Cherish CD also but the papers they are printed onto are from the Back to Nature CD. I have used the same pattern in two shades, then layered them up and curled the egdes for some dimension! I have punched a border with my MS punch onto brown packing paper that I had left over from something my hubby sold on ebay and I have run this across the bottom on the card. I have added some brown ribbon along the left hand side if the card and where they meet I have used a fab topper from the Love and Cherich CD. This topper is a leftover from last weeks challenge ( waste nothing people ) I have covered it with glossy accents and ( because I am too cheap to buy crackle medium ) I cracked it when it was completly dry and rubbed into it some glimmer mist ( using a sock as I had no tissue to hand - it was an old odd sock mind ) I just hope that the layers of the flowers count as different shapes x x x

Greeting With Paper Flowers

My poor cricut has been abandoned lately but I have been busy with pretty things like these flowers!!! I have seen them on many projects and I have been studying paper flowers on youtube alot so I decided it was time to try them! To jazz up the flowers I have punched the edges with my MS punch! The bigger flower is a papermania xmas paper and the top is plain white and I have sprinkled it with glitter and topped it with a butterfly from a bracelet that I have demolished for cardmaking purposes!!! The card base is A5 folded just standard brown card, I have then matted a plain blue piece of card ontop of that! The next thing I did was stick some fancy lace ribbon onto some brown packing paper then mat that onto the blue card, to cover the sticky tape that you could see running through the middle I used a strip from the roses paper left over from a polka doodles challenge and punched it on both sides with my MS punch. To top that off I have used a wire greetings embellishment from my stash then put my paper flower ontop to finish the card!!!

PolkaDoodle Week 10

This week at PolkaDoodles we are celebrating a birthday! Fliss' Daughter Claire is turning 21!!! Happy Birthday Claire!!! So this weeks challenge ( set by Fliss ) is to create a card for a milestone birthday or anniversary! Now being the big romantic that I am I just adore the Love and Cherish CD so I have used that this week! There is no end of fab papers to choose from so I printed out a few jumbled them up then picked one at random!!! Sounds mad but my method works!!! I used the backing paper with my big shot and cut out a fancy edge card. I also printed out the toppers sheet to co-ordinate with the paper I have used. I have simply matted this onto gold card using 3D foam pads. this is then layered onto the card again using my 3D foam pads! To finish off I have added some flowers and gems!

Crochet Flowers

I have gained a new skill over the past few days! Julie gave me the deatils for a fab blog little birdie secrets, they have a fab tutorial for crochet flowers!!! Now that along with inspiration from Julie a demo from a lady at work, some books also from work and youtube ( phew thats alot of help ) I have managed to get something that resembles a flower!!! Now I am hoping to use them mainly for cards but I do love hair accessories so I have made these from leftover ribbon and hello kitty embellishments that I have from bobbles that I bought a few years back!!! Now if someone could just teach me more than the 3 stitches that I have fumbled through please feel free!!! Oh and please excuse the pics it is dark and this is the best I could do in my craft room ( and yes they are ikea blinds he he!!! )

Wedding Invitations

I have been asked to put together some invitation samples for a lady that Konrad works with, now this isn't one of hers, but while I was busy putting together her samples I had an idea pop into my head and this is how it looked!!! I have kept it simple but I really love the flower and heart spray! The card is a small hammer square card, the centre is made up from silver card that has been embossed with divine swirls then ontop of that I have layered a pearl card that has a natural pattern and then the flower spray is layered ontop of that! The wedding invitation is stamped then heat embossed! I wish I was getting married again as these are so much better than the invites I had!!!

My First PolkaDoodle Card

In case you haven't heard me screaming from the rooftops I am now a member of the PolkaDoodles Design Team!!! This week is my very first challenge. The theme this week is wings!!! We could use and CD and it could be for any occasion but it had to include some stamping!!! I opted to use the shaped Miss Twoo from the paper boutique CD. I printed her out at A5 firstly onto plain pink card stock as my base! To create all the layers I printed out some of the fab papers from the Love and Cherish CD, then I ran them through the printer again so I could have the plain templates of the owl on the pattern card!!! It was then a case of cutting out what I wanted and choosing which patterns to layer over each other!!! For my stamping part of the challenge I have used my foam swirls stamps from QVC. I used my pink versa colour ink pad then pink embossing powder to make it more textures! The rub on is from letraset. To complete my Miss Twoo I have given her some big googly eyes, some curled eyelashes, some sparkly gems and a felt flower!!! I can breathe now I have my first challenge under my belt now I had better get cracking on next week!!!
