First Pumpkin Attempt

I have come across this 3D pumpkin technique on the cricut forum and I thought it was sooooo cute so I decided i would try it for myself.

I have simply cut 10 scallop circles using my big shot, I have aged the edges then scored down the centre, I then folded them and glued them together.

For the stalk I have used some groisgrain spotty brown ribbon and for the vines I have cut some thin srtips of green card split them in half so they are thin then I have curled them with a quilling tool. The background paper is Bo Bunny and it is just stunning!!!

The example I saw was for ornaments but I thought it would look super cute on a card!!

Now I will say that the pumpkin is too heavy for the card size that I have choosen so it keeps falling down, so I will need to play around with different weight and size card blanks but for now I am happy with the result!!!

A big thanks to Big Beras Wife on the cricut forum for the inspiration!!!

Something a bit Different!!!

I have been slightly stuck in my ways of late, so I have decided to be brave and leave my stamps and skulls alone ( only for a bit )

I thought I would get a birthday card sorted for Konrad's Mum. I decided that she would not appreciate skulls in any way shape or form so I had to stop and think and this is what I have come up with.

I have used the New Arrival cart and cut card 3 on fit to page ( which actually cut at 11.5" ) I did this firstly with K & Co pattern paper, then with DCWV texture card stock. I cut the blue card down so I could just layer the scallop over my pattern paper, I have then added a simple blue insert for strength!!! I have added some american crafts ribbon to hide the join running across the card where the blue meets the pattern paper. I had a bit of the pattern paper left so i cut out some flowers and embellished them with DCWV brads and I have layered them onto my card with some 3D foam. I have finished the whole thing off with some more ribbon and a few simple bows!!!
I am pleased with the result as it is not my usual style, my hubby thinks his mum will love it x x x

Handmade Twilight Inspired Bookmark

This is what I believe to be the best bookmark ever!!! I have handmade the dangly apple by hand using fimo, it has been baked and varnished so it shines like a real apple, it is dangling from a silver chain which layd down the spine of the book so when it is on a shelf you can still see the bookmark. Its base is black cardstock and I have then printed out a red and a cream patterened paper, the cream is pink petticoat I got the red one for free online!!! I have then stamped and inked the edges of each paper to give it a distressed look. The bookmark is finished off with an apple cut from doodlecharms which again has been stamped and inked. I have then layered it with 3d foam onto its shadow and stuck it onto the bookmark.

Girly Skull Birthday

I have been at the skulls again!!! This time I have cut out a really cute pink skull from Indie Arts, she has been stamped with a filagree image and layered onto DCWV dotty paper which I have stamped and inked around the edges. The card is A4 folded and it is also decorated on the inside, which I don't do very often unless it is requested!!!

1st Christmas Card of the Year

Well I have spent some time on the cricut forums over the last week as i have had some well deserved time off work, and I have found more and more xmas cards. This has inspired me to get cracking on mine. So here is my first festive creation. It is A4 folder in half, the base card is a pearl brown, I have layered some papermania silk screened cardstock onto the base card ( it is very hard to see int the picture but the silk screened card is stunning ) The image is stamped with an inkadinkadoo reindeer stamp then heat embossed in gold ( again hard to see in the pic - next attempt will be in copper not gold ) the stamped image was layered onto a scrap of the silk screenec card then layered onto some bargin gold glitter card!!! It has all been brought together with a cheap gold bow i have been refusing to throw away and some skeleton leaves i had free with a magazine a long time ago!!!

Card Order

Hello!!! I have been busy with some well needed crafting over the last few days, I have managed to get through some orders and this is one of them. This is for a little girl on my aunties side of the family as you can see her name is courtney. I have used a pink A5 card blank which i hace layered with DCWV glitter card stock from the Sweet stack. I have cut the name out using Don Juan and the bear is a cross cuts die that I bought on ebay quite some time ago but she never gets boring and finally I have finished off with some gems and some super cute buttonx x x x
