Mother's Day

I really love making Mother's Day cards! I have only made a few this year but this is my fav as I have used alot of yellow which I never really use and I think the end result it lovely, it's so bright and happy! The base of the card is cut from the Wild Card cartridge using my cricut, the MUM topper is from the silhouette store and cut using my Cameo machine. The cream and yellow flowers were purchased from Hobbycraft and the lilac flower I made myself!

My First Easter Card

I ran a facebook competition for Stacey's World, the winner would receive a free card for sharing my facebook page! A winner was chosen and she requested an Easter card for her niece! I never make Easter cards so it was such a lovely change. I have been hanging onto these Easter papers by DCWV for ages, this just goes to prove my theory to my husband that eventually everything will have a use!!! I used an 8"x8" scalloped card base and set to work stitching the layers together using my new John Lewis blue mini sewing machine ( which I love ) I also used my cricut and the Mickey Font cartridge for the lettering! The chipboard bunny was also from DCWV and I finished off with 3 gems from a bit of bling! I am really pleased with the end result and it was such a lovely colour palette to work with!

A Few Quick Additions!!!

My first addition today is a baby card that I have made using new arrival and indie arts! I have made it a bit gnarly!!! The second installment is some fimo brooches that I have made for Tracie who is a fellow doodler over at polka doodles!!!

Birthday Card For Konrad!!!

June 17th was Konrads 32nd birthday! I always struggle with his cards as he sees what I do everyday, but I am pleased with this years effort!!! It is more skulls shock horror!!! They have been cut on the cricut using Indie Arts and stamped and inked around the edges but to be a bit different I have used my tonic studios butterfly punch and punched some from an old copy of Mid Summer Night's Dream ( think it is an old copy from Konrads school - it has a library stamp inside ) oh well at 32 I don't think he will be returning it now!!! the butterflies are backed onto some brown butterflies and finished with pink pearls!!! The inside is also stamped and inked but has been written in so there is no pic x x x

Polka Doodles Monochromatic

This weeks challenge at Polka Doodles was set by Nettie and her challenge was Monochromatic ( I hope thats right ) We had to use one colour but we could use different shade of that colour! Given the lovely weather we have had recently and all the fields I see everyday I have used green! I cut a scallop card using wild card on the cricut at 5 3/4 then chopped it into 2 and folded one side in half, I have then cut anothe slightly smaller from one of the awesome papers from the new CD All around and Everywhere ( its ace ) Next was some flowers from the same CD in shades of green finished off with a sentiment and some cute buttons! As you may have noticed acetate is my friend lately and there are more to come when I can pop them up here, anyway I have added a super cute tiny flower as a dangler with a spotty green brad from my stash! Check out the new CD it launched today on create and craft it is sooooo pretty!!!

Tiny Skull Card

I had this tiny card blank left over from a kit that Konrad bought me ages ago but it was so cute I couldn't bring myself to throw it away! So I have used a scrap of DCWV rockstar paper and just cut a 2" skull in 2 different types of gold card! Done!!!

Cupcake Creations

In keeping with my good blogger pledge I am pleased to bring you another card!!! I have been at it with the cupcakes again! I must say I have stolen a few ideas from the amazing card I had for my birthday from Julie over at huxtershouse!!! You can see that card here http://huxtershouse.blogspot.com/2009/11/cupcake-birthday-for-stacey.html

The card is A5 and it is a pearl brown cardstock The background is actually the reverse of a Bo Bunny christmas paper ( nothing goes to waste ) I have cut the cupcake using Doodlecharms and I think it is cut at about 6". I have aged the edges of the cupcake top and embossed it with the divine swirls embossing folder using my big shot!!! I have finished off the cupcake with some fab sticky gems and a bow using american crafts ribbon. The whole card is then finished with a self adhesive lace strip and more of those cute gems x x x

I'm Still Alive!!!

Well I have been away from my blog since November, I am beginning to think I may be the worst blogger in the world!!! I have just been so busy!!! But hopefully I am back for a bit now and I will try to keep my blog upto date and also keep ontop of the blogs that I am following cos I cannot remember the last time I sat down and had a good scan of the blogs!!!

Onto my card!!! My brother only went and turned 18 on me this month!!! I cannot believe it!!! He is so much taller than me, he has a good job a car and a girlfriend but I cannot help feeling that he is still my baby bro!!! Anyway, he loves basketball and it is as popular in the UK as it is in America but luckly I had the sports mania cart!!! Now please excuse my pics as the card is A3 folded so it is pretty big and I had no card big enough for the background! I have used design studio to weld Nick 18 the the swoosh cut, Ihave cut it at about 6" quite a few times and layered it all up! Thats it nothing fancy just plain cutting and layering!!! I could not turn it into a shape card as I do not have the larger mats just yet but I am very pleased with how it turned out!!! And I think he liked it!!!
